A full day sailing through the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve: wild dolphins and sea turtles, snorkeling on the reef, and a natural pool in the open Caribbean.

Sian Ka'an — "the place where the sky is born" — is one of Mexico's most breathtaking natural reserves: over 528,000 hectares of protected jungle, lagoons, mangroves and Caribbean sea. On this full-day excursion you'll cross its channels and lagoons aboard a traditional fishing boat — small groups, a maximum of 6 people per boat — on your way to the village of Punta Allen, spotting wildlife in its natural habitat: resident and migratory birds, crocodiles, colorful fish, manta rays and, with luck, manatees.

Once out in the Caribbean, the adventure continues: we'll search for dolphins and sea turtles, snorkel the Mesoamerican Reef — the second longest in the world — and finish with a swim in a crystal-clear natural pool, a true corner of paradise. Buffet lunch is served in Punta Allen at the Fisherman Lodge restaurant, and before heading back you'll walk through the village: a place where people still live from what the sea and the jungle provide, far from the noise.

Itinerary

• 06:00 — Pickup begins at hotels in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya
• 09:30 — Arrival at the Sian Ka'an Reserve. After a short ride through the jungle, we board the boat and cross lagoons and mangrove channels toward Punta Allen, looking for crocodiles, birds and the Reserve's wildlife.
• In the Caribbean — Second boat leg: searching for dolphins and sea turtles, reef snorkeling, and a swim in the natural pool.
• 13:00 — Buffet lunch at the Fisherman Lodge restaurant in Punta Allen. From July to February, fresh lobster is also available for purchase.
• After lunch — A 15-minute walk through the village of Punta Allen.
• 16:00 — End of the tour and return to the hotels.

Pickup: from hotels in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya, starting at 6:00 a.m. The exact pickup time for your hotel is assigned when your booking is confirmed.

Minimum age: 3 years.

Price: $229 USD per adult; $189 USD per child (ages 3 to 13 and up to 1.50 m tall); from age 14, or if the child is taller than 1.50 m, the adult fare applies. Not included: Reserve fee ($12 USD, paid on the day of the tour) and VAT.

Cancel more than 48 hours in advance (counted up to 00:00 on the tour day): 100% refund. Between 48 and 24 hours in advance: 50% refund. Less than 24 hours in advance: no refund (no-show).
